Peter Darby is a senior associate in the Insurance and Construction & Engineering practices of Mayer Brown's London office. Peter's primary area of focus is contentious construction disputes. He acts for a wide range of clients and advises developers, employers, contractors, architects, consultants, engineers and insurers in relation to all forms of construction dispute. Peter has represented clients in multi-party litigation in the Technology and Construction Court, mediations, adjudications and international arbitrations on a wide array of projects including PFI/PPP projects, residential premises, hospitals, student accommodation, hotels, office facilities, exhibition centres and complex waste facilities. He advises clients on complex and technical disputes, including claims concerning defective design and workmanship, termination, delay, disruption and quantum.
Peter joined Mayer Brown in 2016 as a trainee and during his training contract spent six months on secondment to the legal team at an insurance broker.
